Refund Policy – Kindle Kids International School

In reference to the Standard PEI-Student Contract, the following conditions are expressed as basis for course fees refund.

Refund for Withdrawal Due to Non-Delivery of Course

The PEI, Kindle Kids International School (KKIS), will notify Student within three (3) working days upon knowledge of any of the following:

  • It does not commence the Course on the Course Commencement Date.
  • It terminates the Course before the Course Commencement Date.
  • It does not complete the Course by the Course Completion Date.
  • It terminates the Course before the Course Completion Date.
  • It has not ensured that the student meets the course entry requirement.

The Student should be informed in writing of alternative study arrangements (if any), and also be entitled to a refund of the entire Course Fees and Miscellaneous Fees already paid should the Student decide to withdraw, within (7) working days of the above notice.

Refund for Withdrawal Due to other Reasons

If the Student withdraws from the Course for any reason other than those stated in Clause 2.1 of the Standard Student Contract version 3.1, Kindle Kids International School (KKIS) will, within seven (7) working days of receiving the Student’s written notice of withdrawal, refund to the Student an amount based on the table in Schedule D of the Standard Student Contract.

SCHEDULE D – REFUND TABLE in the Student Contract reads as follows:

Refund During Cooling-Off Period

  • KKIS will provide the Student with a cooling-off period of seven (7) working days after the date that the Student Contract has been signed by both parties.
  • The Student will be refunded the highest percentage (stated in Schedule D) of the fees already paid if the student submits a written notice of withdrawal to KKIS within the cooling-off period, regardless of whether the Student has started the course or not.

Refund Procedures

1) For all withdrawal requests- a written application at least two months in advance has to be sent to the HOS with copy to the advisory teacher. The applications are to be verified and confirmed by the HOS prior to further processing

2) The Finance Department is responsible to ensure all supporting documents are submitted and that the Student is entitled to a refund, before proceeding with any refund processing with the bank.

3) Refunds, when entitled to, will be done within seven (7) working days of KKIS receiving the student’s written notice.

4) Non-refundable fees are miscellaneous fees, transport fees, and registration fees.

5) Withdrawal records are kept for at least five (5) years. They are easily retrievable for audit purposes.

6) Staff dealing with admissions, student affairs and finance are conversant with KKIS’s withdrawal procedures and demonstrate strict adherence.

7) The Management Team regularly reviews the procedures pertaining to programme withdrawal to ensure that they are adequate, relevant and effective.

8) All reviews, as well as any changes implemented, are documented in meeting minutes and this Manual.
