Our Co-Curricular Activities – Kindle Kids International School

Going Beyond The Classroom

Co-curricular activities (CCA) at Kindle Kids form the basis of our holistic learning program. From physical activities to STEM subjects, our CCA are tailored to be fun, engaging, and educational

Co-Curricular Activities

  • Co–Curricular activities at KKIS are an integral part of the school curriculum which are in line with KKIS Mission, Vision and Values. These play a vital role in holistic development of a student and are significant for enriching students on an emotional, cognitive, physical, and social level. CCAs and Academics both complement each other to develop a well-rounded student with resilience, tenacity, confidence and perseverance, which prepare them to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing world.
  • At KKIS, we offer a wide array of CCAs (co-curricular activities) from Cooking without Fire to STEM activities, from Green Fingers to Origami and much more for the benefit of our students. This gives them an opportunity to explore diverse options and identify their interest and talents.
  • KKIS strongly believes in providing experiential learning through their niche CCA which empowers students to apply their theoretical knowledge to practical endeavor in a multitude of settings beyond the classroom.
  • CCA activities are carefully designed and a schedule for the same is prepared every month. These are conducted once a week for a duration of one hour in block periods. One CCA theme will be continued for four weeks with different activities of the same weekly. Students will explore the remaining CCA’s in the upcoming months as per the planned CCA schedule. This paves the way for the students to explore all the CCA options and identify where their passion lies.
  • KKIS launched Premium Co-curricular activities (PCCAs) in the year 2019 which included niche CCA’s like Coding and Robotics, Pony Riding, Yoga Music to equip their students with the 21st-century competencies.
  • Premium CCAS are conducted by qualified and skilled external instructors. In all, we ensure that our CCA’s focus on our learners reflecting on their experience of doing something in order to gain conceptual insight as well as practical experience in their areas of interest.

Designing Robotics & Coding Program @KKIS (Grade 3-8)

Robotics Designing is an exciting field for students to ‘create’ and ‘innovate’ using technology. Playing with a Robot and creating one makes a huge difference to child’s learning in the process. Students engage intensely in this engineering-based activity, where they ideate and brainstorm virtually to build Robots in real.
Coding is a basic literacy in the digital age, and it is important for students to understand and be able to work with technology around them. Having young minds learn coding at a young age prepares them for the future. Coding helps children with communication, creativity, math, writing, and confidence.
The introductory program will focus on introduction to coding and designing robotics through hands-on learning in a fun and friendly environment
Students will explore a range of robotic designing-based activities
Students will course through the basic mechanics, building structures & application robots, introduction to coding and simple circuit coding
One robotics take home kit for every child

Speak Up! Speech and Drama @KKIS (Grade 2-3)

This course is to provide our students with interactive lessons to empower them to develop as confident communicators. We know how important the 21st Century Skills are as our students are collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds.

Yoga for Kids @KKIS (Grade 1-8)

Yoga at an early age encourages self-esteem and body awareness that foster cooperation and compassion in young students. Students derive enormous benefits from yoga. Physically, it enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. In addition, their concentration and sense of calmness and relaxation improves. When a child practices yoga and mindfulness, research says it has proven positive effect on her/his mind and overall wellbeing. Yoga provides training of mind and body to bring emotional balance. It helps children to listen inward to their bodies, feelings, and ideas. It is highly instrumental in calming the mind, relaxing the body completely and this in turn increase child’s productivity and responsiveness.
