Programme Overview
Our Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme is part of the Cambridge Pathway and is for learners aged 11 to 14 years.
KKIS is one of nearly 2300 schools worldwide to offer Cambridge Lower Secondary to its students.
Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme (CLSP), is a sought-after lower secondary curriculum at KKIS that gives a great head start to the middle year students and equips them with the in-depth knowledge in core subjects like English, Math, Science and study of the world and society at large.
This curriculum provides students with a wide array of subjects crucial for their success in the contemporary world, which are connected by means of interdisciplinary innovative approaches in the teaching process.
Students can expect a carefully and thoroughly conceived blend of foreign languages, sciences, digital technologies and many other important skills and competencies, by which they meet all necessary requirements for becoming versatile people in the world of contemporary competencies.
It is a well-crafted programme that provides an excellent foundation for the next stage of education. It transitions seamlessly from primary education and equips students with the knowledge and skills needed for post-secondary education leading to formal IGCSE qualifications in Grade 9 & 10 and beyond.
Our teaching practices and classroom experiences engage students in their own learning, which are supported with high quality resources and state of the art facilities.
Assessment conducted improves students’ learning, giving them focus, pace and challenge. We organise our lower secondary assessments in a way that maximizes time for teaching and learning.

Course Outline
Year 6 students embark on a new journey in their schooling, and with that come new challenges and changes. In many ways, 6th grade is a year of significant transition for students as they use the skills they have previously learned and apply them to more complex and independent learning in deeper and more rigorous ways.
Year 7 is specially designed to prepare students for high school life and is often used as a stepping stone for students to pursue the IGCSE curriculum. At KKIS, we encourage an inquiry-focused approach to learning and expose students to a wide variety of subjects. Alongside this, a rich selection of co-curricular activities ensures that students are well-rounded and prepared for their future academic endeavours.
In Year 8, students are challenged to push themselves in all aspects of their schooling life to prepare them for the rigors of high school life. Along the way, students are supported by a caring team of teachers who are passionate about teaching. They help students as they assume increasing responsibility for the decisions that will shape their future and ensure each child has a successful school experience.
